Packaging design competition for Twinings of London.

In 2011 Twinings of London held a national competition for the packaging design for their 'Australian Afternoon Tea' release. I stumbled across the submission form on the notice board at TAFE one day and decided to put my artwork forward. I took inspiration from other Twinings locale designs and used the tonal layers to create depth within the iconic outback landscape. I was later told that Australian Law forbids the use of Ayers Rock Ularu imagery for commercial gain, and so the design was adapted for release.

Kevin Rudd composed the winning tea blend from a selection of 100 Australian identities and 10c from each sale, from that original release, was donated to the RSPCA. On ya, Kev!
